giovinco torontoFormer Juventus striker Sebastian Giovinco was surprised at how poorly the club started this season’s campaign.

The Old Lady currently sit just outside the Serie A top ten with only twelve points from nine games, however the Toronto FC man is confident the Bianconeri can still recover.

”I didn’t expect such a negative start from Juventus but there is still time for them to bounce back,” the 28-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

The Italian International also believes that Roma are strong contenders for the Scudetto this season, and that both Napoli and Fiorentina will challenge as well.

”Roma have already been extremely competitive for a number of years now,” he added.

“In the last couple of seasons Juventus have been a bit better, but this year the Giallorossi can certainly win the Serie A title.

“As for Napoli and Fiorentina, I am sure they will be in contention up until the very end of the season.”

Giovinco left Juventus for MLS side Toronto last January, where he has since been crowned the league’s top scorer with 22 goals.

During his time in Italy, he made 132 appearances for the Turin outfit, scoring 20 times.
