Sebastian Giovinco- TorontoItaly forward Sebastian Giovinco has cooled talk of a move to Barcelona insisting he is content playing with Toronto FC.

The 28-year-old has continued to feature for Antonio Conte’s Italy side despite leaving Juventus to continue his career in the MLS.

His performances for club and country have recently seen him linked with a shock move to the Blaugrana in January.

“Barcelona? I’m fine here in Toronto,” Giovinco told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“My only plan for January is going on holiday.”

Giovinco’s former team Juventus face off in the Derby d’Italia against Inter on Sunday evening and the forward says he hopes the Old Lady can win the match.

“I hope my former teammates manage to win,” added the 28-year-old.

“Losing would make things more difficult, but the season has only just begun.

“The departures of [Carlos] Tevez, [Andrea] Pirlo and [Arturo] Vidal are difficult to make up for, but we need to have a little patience.”
