Inter defender Nemanja Vidic has distanced himself from rumours of a potential move to Major League Soccer club D.C. United.
The 33-year-old is currently recovering from a hernia operation held in early August and his agent has insisted on his eventual return to play with the Nerazzurri despite murmurs of a future in the United States.
“The recovery is going very well and [Nemanja] is continuing in his phase of rehabilitation,” said Vidic’s agent Silvano Martina to Fcinternews.it.
“Will he return in January? I can’t say too much about this, you should ask the medical staff at Inter for precise timing.”
The agent then rubbished some buzz around the centre-back potentially making a switch to MLS.
“None of this is true,” added Martina.
“If someone wrote certain things; I do not understand how we can follow up on these news items.
“There is no contact with D.C. United.”
