Fiorentina defender Manuel Pasqual is happy with his side’s reaction to their recent poor form.
La Viola were beaten by both Napoli and Roma in Serie A, as well as a defeat in the Europa League against Lech Poznan, before the match against Hellas Verona, but Pasqual is pleased with their improvement and the 2-0 win against Verona on Wednesday.
“The desire of the team was to do well and win,” Pasqual told reporters after the match
“We knew it would be a difficult game, the team have reacted very well after some bad results.”
The 33-year-old then talked about the current Serie A standings, Fiorentina are currently in third place, stating that they should not be taken seriously until the end of the season in May.
“The Serie A table should not be looked at,” Pasqual added.
“We must continue to do well and show that we are a great team.
“The standings will be decided in May not in October.”
