Roma are reportedly interested in signing Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool in the upcoming January transfer window.
Sakho arrived in Liverpool from Paris-Saint Germain in 2013 though has yet to secure a regular starting spot with the Premier League side.
The Daily Express reports that the French international might be interested in a more reliable position within Rudi Garcia’s side as soon as January.
Were he to come to Italy, Sakho would be the latest in a dramatic overhaul of Roma’s defense that has seen almost all of last term’s starters move on to other clubs.
Roma’s defence has been among the best in Serie A since Garcia took over in 2013, though so far this season the team has had to rely more on its attacking play as the transitioning backline has underperformed.
