Juventus defender Daniele Rugani believes that patience is required if he is to make his mark on Serie A.
Rugani has become a main player for the Italy U-21 team but has yet to make any sort of impact with new club Juventus.
“I have not featured in the championship this season but I have to be serene, my journey with Juventus has just begun,” Rugani told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I knew it wouldn’t be easy but I am always ready.”
The young centre-back has drawn comparisons with past Azzurri greats Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Cannavaro but the former Empoli player is quick to brush off such appraisals.
“I am still young, you make too many comparisons in the media,” Rugani said.
“I need to keep my feet on the ground and continue to work hard.”
