Soriano - AC Milan v SampdoriaSampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano is delighted to have earned another call-up to the Italian national team for the upcoming Euro 2016 Qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Norway.

The 24-year-old has been integral to the Blucerchiati’s recent domestic success and was rewarded for his consistent performances, receiving his first international cap in 2014 against Croatia.

“It’s always a great experience to go play for the national team,” Soriano told Samp Tv following his inclusion in the Azzurri squad.

Soriano also believes the side must do everything to collect as many points as possible to secure top spot of Group H with the final two games remaining in the qualification phase.

“In the next two games we have a great opportunity to collect six points to reach Euro 2016 and then also come back to Sampdoria with an increased desire,” Soriano continued.

Antonio Conte’s men, who sit at the top of Group H, have amassed 18 points after eight matches and currently hold a two point lead over second-place Norway.

Soriano has accumulated five caps for Italy since last year and has already made a promising start to the 2015/16 Serie A season, scoring two goals in seven appearances.
