Torino drew 1-1 with AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night in Serie A, a result that does little to relieve the pressure on visiting coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Although the Rossoneri deservedly took the lead through Carlos Bacca, the Granata found a quick reply from Daniele Baselli.

In a first-half lacking quality, it was Milan captain Riccardo Montolivo having the greatest influence on the match and produced the first notable chances midway through the half.

First the 30-year-old sent a looping volley high and wide from the edge of the box, and then forced Daniele Padelli into a smart save to his left with a low drive.

However, it was Giacomo Bonaventura who had the Rossoneri fans celebrating on 31 minutes, before realising his free-kick had struck the side netting.

Milan continued to dominate after the restart and, as determined as the Granata rearguard were, did not threaten enough in attack.

On 63 minutes, though, they took the lead. Bonaventura played in Andrea Bertolacci behind the Torino defence and his cutback was fired into the roof of the net by substitute Bacca eight yards out.

However, so poor were Il Toro’s efforts on the night that it took until the 70th minute before Baselli had their first notable shot.

Yet within three minutes Torino had their equaliser, Andrea Belotti laying the ball into the path of the onrushing Baselli who sent a low drive past Diego Lopez.

An improvement must still be made by Torino who face a trip to Lazio next Sunday, however, after failing to win once more, Milan could face a hostile Giuseppe Meazza crowd when Sassuolo arrive next time weekend.
