Udinese defender Ali Adnan has revealed he has ambitions of joining a top European club and winning trophies following his time with the Zebrette.

The young Iraq international is still in his first season with the Bianconeri but has impressed so far and is already thinking about his future career.

“I started at Ammo Baba then joined Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya before signing for Baghdad FC in 2010,” said the 21-year-old in an interview for FIFA’s official website.

“After making my debut in the first team [for Baghdad FC], I made my international debut in a friendly against Bahrain in 2012 which was an indescribable feeling.

“The crucial moment of my career was the Under-20 World Cup in 2013 in Turkey, where we finished fourth.

“I was noticed by scouts who brought me to Caykur Rizespor, in the top league of the Turkish football.”

After two years in Turkey Adnan joined Udinese in July 2015, and the player also spoke of his ambitions beyond the Stadio Friuli.

“I am happy to be at Udinese, but my goal is to get to one of the top European clubs and one day win trophies,” he said.
