Udinese v SassuoloUdinese entertain Sassuolo at their home ground, the Stadio Friuli, on Sunday afternoon in Serie A.

The Zebrette have had a pretty inconsistent start to the season, with victories being too few in between a number of losses and draws. Stefano Colantuono saw his side lose 3-1 to Roma in midweek, a results that leaves Udinese in 16th place in Serie A with just 11 points from their first ten games. Udinese had been a decent run of form and the defeat against Rome was their only loss in the month of October. The main worry for Udinese fans is goals, with their side only scoring 10 goals in their 10 Serie A matches this season.

In stark contrast, Sassuolo have been firing all cylinders. The Neroverdi secured their first ever win against Juventus in midweek as they won 1-0 thanks to a superb Nicola Sansone free kick. Sassuolo endured a mixed October with two wins and two defeats, but the incredible victory over the reigning champions will put them in good spirits for their trip to Udine.

Sassuolo had the better of things last season between the two sides. They earned a 1-1 draw at home before beating Udinese at the Friuli 1-0. A second half strike from Francesco Magnanelli was enough for Sassuolo to earn their first win against Udinese since returning to Serie A although they were helped by Guilherme late red card for the Zebrette.

Udinese have numerous players out due to injury including Alexander Merkel, Duvan Zapata, Maurizio Domizzi and Panagiotis Kone. Captain Antonio Di Natale may be rested after already playing two games this week although he will be guaranteed a spot on the bench at least.

Sassuolo, meanwhile, still have Luca Antei out injured. They will also be unable to call upon the services of Sansone and Federico Peluso who are both suspended.
