AC Milan have joined Juventus and rivals Inter in the race to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentinian has entered into the last few months of his contract with the Ligue 1 champions, which is due to expire in June 2016.

Despite strong interest from Juventus and Inter, the Rossoneri are hopeful of luring the Argentinian back to Italy, according to Radio Sportiva.

Lavezzi spent five years with Napoli scoring close to 50 goals and making nearly 200 appearances, some of which were played alongside teammate Edinson Cavani.

Milan are hopeful of securing the services of Lavezzi for free, a policy they have looked to exploit at every opportunity in recent years.

However, the rival interest in the 30 year-old will necessitate some activity in the January transfer window to ensure success.

Juventus are eager to add the Argentinian to their roster, who they see as a viable replacement for the departed Carlos Tevez.

Whereas, cross-town rivals Inter are confident of signing Lavezzi, who could prove crucial in their title challenge this season.

With the amount of attention surrounding el Pocho, the chances of seeing out the remainder of his contract seems unlikely.

Lavezzi has featured regularly for the Parisian club this campaign, making 12 appearances so far and scoring twice.
