President of  Turkish club Besiktas, Fikret Orman, has revealed he will only accept an offer in excess of €20 million for star striker Mario Gomez.

The 30-year-old German international is currently on-loan from Fiorentina and has been in fine form as of late, subsequently attracting interest from several European sides.

However, the president of the Black Eagles has warned off any potential suitors with a hefty fee, despite the fact Gomez currently remains a Fiorentina player with Besiktas yet to exercise their right to make the loan permanent.

“At the end of the season whoever wants to sign Gomez will have to pay €20 million or more,” Orman told Turkish radio Radyo Spor.

“We are talking of a German national who has already proved his worth many times at the highest level.

Premier League side Manchester United are just one of the teams to have been linked with Gomez in recent weeks, though Orman said no clubs have approached as of yet.

“We haven’t received any bids for him yet,” he added.

Gomez was recently recalled to the German national team after impressing with the Turkish side, having scored nine goals in all competitions.
