Carpi coach Fabrizio Castori has admitted that his side had the wrong approach to the game, but thinks his players deserved at least a draw.
Carpi were beaten by Chievo 1-2 at the Stadio Alberto Braglia on Sunday evening in Serie A.
“We had the wrong approach to the game,” Castori told Rai Sport.
“Even after going 2-0 down inside the opening fifteen minutes of the game, we attacked. Our players gave everything to turn the game around.
“Among all other things, we were denied a clear penalty in the second half. We deserved at least a draw today.
“We should improve in the coming weeks to turn the things around.”
The defeat means Carpi remain at the bottom of the table with six points.
