Carpi ChievoChievo coach Rolando Maran was pleased with his side’s performance in their victory against Carpi on Sunday evening.

The Flying Donkeys won 2-0 against the Biancorossi thanks to goals from Roberto Inglese and Riccardo Meggiorini inside the opening fifteen minutes of the game. Alessandro Gamberini’s own goal in the second half remained as just a consolation for the home side and Maran believed his side did well to cope with the pressure of conceding the goal.

“I am happy with this Chievo performance”, Maran told Rai Sport after the game.

“The own goal in the second half made us nervous, but we handled the pressure well.”

Maran also had some words of appreciation for the first goal scorer Roberto Inglese.

“Inglese is growing in every game he plays,” Maran added.

“He is training very well.

“We are expecting more of the same from him over the coming weeks.”
