Controversial Italy striker Pablo Osvaldo could be about to make a surprising return to Juventus.

The Porto forward spent a short while on loan in Turin in 2014 from English Premier League side Southampton, and subsequently scored one goal from 14 appearances under former Bianconeri coach Antonio Conte, and despite that lack of success he could be in line for a shocking comeback.

A Bola report that Osvaldo might cut his Portuguese stint short in January through terminating his contract with giants Porto.

Should he do that, then he apparently has Juventus and Boca Juniors to choose from as his next club.

Both are sides he has made appearances for before, with Osvaldo scoring three times on loan in Argentina earlier this year.

Controversy has followed the player in recent years, starting after he allegedly verbally abused Roma caretaker Aurelio Andreazzoli after being brought on as a substitute for 15 minutes.

At next club Southampton, he ‘instigated’ a training ground fight with teammate Jose Fonte, before refusing to turn up to training during a loan spell at Inter in 2014.
