destroBologna striker Mattia Destro has said that he is delighted to score his first goal for the Rossoblu, but he only cares about avoiding relegation.

Bologna had won just two games before they beat Atalanta 3-0 on Sunday, a win which sees them go within one point of Frosinone who sit in 17th place.

“I wanted to score goals, I thank the fans who have always supported me.” said Destro to Sky Sport Italia in his post-match interview.

“Apart from the goal, which is everything for us attackers, today the important thing was the win.”

The former Roma man was also asked about his new coach Roberto Donadoni, who has recently replaced former coach Delio Rossi.

“Donadoni? Rossi gave us a lot, but now with Donadoni we must give everything to try and survive relegation.”
