Tevez bocaFormer Juventus striker Carlos Tevez was elated after a narrow 1-0 win over Tigre which sealed the Argentina Primera Division league title for Boca Juniors last night.

During his time in Turin, Tevez helped Juve to two Scudetto titles and the Champions League final and in his first season back in his native country he captured the league trophy with one game to spare.

“I am very happy, I returned here so I could feel these emotions again,” Tevez exclaimed after the match.

“I was a champion in many places, but this feeling is unbeatable.

“It’s difficult to talk right now, I’m really emotional,” the 31-year-old said as he fought to hold back tears.

The victory represents the team’s 31 title success, with only their fierce rivals, River Plate boasting more titles in Argentina with 36, as they now prepare for the Argentina Cup.
