Sunday’s 4-1 win over Frosinone at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The former Atletico Madrid workhorse finished off a superb individual effort for Fiorentina’s fourth goal in an emphatic home victory as they joined Inter at the top of the Serie A table.

Suarez marked the victory with a celebratory tweet on his official Twitter account.

“Happy with the victory and with my first Viola goal!” posted Suarez.

The goal follows growing rumours of unrest in Florence, with the Spanish starlet starting only his third Serie A match on Sunday since his arrival in July.

Gazzetta Dello Sport claimed only last week that Fiorentina would consider selling the midfielder in an effort to boost their transfer resources amidst talk of a troubled relationship with coach Paolo Sousa.

However, Suarez’s efforts against Frosinone provide some hope for a future in Florence as he continues to battle for a position in the Viola’s starting 11.
