Paris Saint-Germain v EA Guingamp - Ligue 1Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore is in a state of shock following the death of two close friends during the Paris terrorist attacks last Friday.

Domestic football competitions are set to resume at the weekend despite the recent tragedies in the French capital, in which over 100 people are reported to have lost their lives, leaving Pastore devastated to return to the City of Light.

“My friends were in the Bataclan theatre at the time of the attack,” the former Palermo man told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am very upset about what has happened, and it saddens to have to think of going back to living in the city, but I have to do my duty for PSG.

“It is a tragedy not only for the French, but for everyone,” Pastore continued. “Luckily, my family, my wife and my daughter were in Italy and not Paris.

“The situation is bad, I know it will still be a shock upon my return.

“I hope we can find a solution and live in peace.”
