Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne says the club’s form is in no small part down to the influence of coach Maurizio Sarri.
The Partenopei rose to the top of the Serie A table with an away victory against Hellas Verona, who are yet to win so far this campaign, as rivals Fiorentina could only muster a draw against Tuscan counterparts Empoli.
“We are working very hard to get to the top, so now we will enjoy this victory,” said Italian Insigne.
“We’re playing well and just how the coach wants us to,” he continued.
“Every Sunday we try to have a great match.”
Former Empoli boss Sarri took over from Rafael Benitez in the summer as the Spaniard moved to a new challenge at Real Madrid, and his impact has been huge since.
“Sarri gives us determination and the desire to play each time.” concluded Insigne.
