david villa pirloInter are considering a shock move for New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

The 36-year-old Italian recently joined the MLS side last summer on a free transfer from Juventus.

But Roberto Mancini has reportedly said that he’d love to have Pirlo at Inter in January, according to sportmediaset.it.

If the move were to happen it would be a loan deal, as the current MLS season has ended. However, Pirlo has already stated that he has no intention to leave the United States and would prefer to end his career playing in the MLS.

Pirlo originally played for the Nerazzurri, but was sold to rivals AC Milan as he failed to secure a starting role in the side.

He spent the majority of his career plying his trade at the Rossoneri, where he enjoyed a lot of success, including two Champions League trophies. He joined Juventus in 2011 on a free transfer, where he won four Serie A titles.
