Andrea Ranocchia InterInter’s Andrea Ranocchia may be heading to Roma in January as part of a potential swap deal which would see Juan Iturbe head to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

With both players on the peripheries at their respective clubs, it has been suggested that Ranocchia may be used as part of a deal to convince Roma to part with the 22-year-old Argentinian winger.

SportMediaset reported on the proposed deal which has come to light after the Italian defender rejected a number of summer approaches from English clubs, including the likes of Crystal Palace and Norwich City.

Similarly, Iturbe was close to leaving the Italian capital among strong interest from both Genoa and Torino before the Giallorossi’s director of football, Walter Sabatini, blocked any deal from being finalised.

The two players have been resigned to largely making substitute appearances this season, both having only started one Serie A fixture for their respective clubs.
