CS6jrJ0UAAAQhJuFollowing a 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League, Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner admits he was personally pleased with his come back performance while adding that the team still needs to improve.

Having been out of action since September, Lichtesteiner proved he recovered from the heart surgery by scoring a stunning goal which brought the Old Lady level with their German opponents in a game where the Bianconeri finished with 10 men following a red card to Hernanes.

“I could not even dream of a game like this,” the Swiss international said to Sky Sport Italia.

“Considering how difficult the game was, and the fact we were a man down, I think we should be satisfied with this result, although we are not very happy with our performance and we really need to raise our level of play.

“The first half was difficult for us, so the equaliser was invaluable.

“It was important for me to be back, despite having had just two full training sessions with the group.

“This is still a difficult time, but I’m well and I’m glad I could give the team a helping hand.”
