Alvaro Morata JuventusJuventus striker Alvaro Morata would be happy to renew his contract with the Bianconeri amid speculation that he is set to sign a new deal at the Juventus Stadium.

The Spanish international joined Juve from Real Madrid in July 2014 and is widely expected to sign improved terms on his current agreement which expires in June 2019.

“It would not be a renewal that would extend my time at Juventus, it is not possible to add further years to the contract,” Morata said in an interview with El Pais.

“It would be a recognition of my worth by Juve and it would be welcomed.”

The Bianconeri are eager to use the contract negotiations to remove the buy-back clause written into Morata’s contract when left Real Madrid.

The clause that Juventus would like to remove currently means Los Blancos can buy back Morata for €30 million at the end of the season, or €35m the year after.
