Lazio coach Stefano Pioli is angry that his side wasted the chance to finally improve on their unimpressive Serie A ranking.
The Biancocelesti could only manage a draw against Palermo, who themselves sit in a disappointing 14th place, and coach Pioli is disappointed that he will spend the week looking at Lazio in eighth place.
“We are all unhappy with our Serie A ranking,” said the Italian bluntly to Sky Sport Italia
“Even after today’s result, we can not be satisfied.”
It took 48 minutes for Lazio to respond after Palermo took the lead, finally hitting back with an Antonio Candreva penalty with 20 minutes left on the clock.
“The team wants to overcome this and in order to do that they need to work harder and be more compact,” he continued.
“We currently have a little bit less confidence, and we need to acquire that again.”
