AC Milan striker Luiz Adriano has stated that he joined the Rossoneri last summer because of the club’s rich history.

The Brazilian striker has also admitted that he faces some difficulty in adapting to the method of playing with two strikers.

“I always played as a lone striker in Shakhtar. I face some issues in adopting to Milan’s style of play with two strikers upfront at the moment,” Adriano told Goal.com.

“During last summer, Milan was the only club I dealt with. I joined the club because of their rich history. I didn’t have too many options before joining Milan.

The 28-year old has also had some praise for Rossoneri coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“Mihajlovic is very demanding and wants to get the best from the players. He is a great coach.

“We are working hard. We want to return to the Champions League and we also want to challenge for the Scudetto.”
