Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal could revive his interest in Lazio ace Felipe Anderson in an effort to speed up his attack.

The Premier League side defeated West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, after which Dutchman van Gaal claimed the squad needed an extra burst of pace and creativity to improve.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the 64-year-old sees Anderson as one of a few players who could potentially achieve this, with a move possible once the transfer window reopens in January.

Players from around England and the Dutch Eredivisie are also on his radar, namely Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane and Anwar El Ghazi.

Anderson has assisted two goals in Serie A so far this season, as well as grabbing four of his own, and is widely viewed to be one of the best talents on the continent.

Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old for some time, with rumours that they were attempting to steal him from the Biancocelesti surfacing during the summer.
