AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang expressed his delight after scoring two goals and creating another during the Rossoneri’s 4-1 victory over Sampdoria on Saturday night.

Sinisa Mihajlovic made yet another tactical switch ahead of the clash as he opted to deploy the Frenchman in a more centralized role alongside Carlos Bacca, which worked wonders against the Serbian coach’s former club.

“I am very happy because I’ve been waiting for this moment,” Niang told Premium Sport after scoring his first two goals of the campaign.

“All of the hard work has paid off and I hope to continue performing like this.  We had to adapt to the formation and we were good today. I played the role that I like most at centre forward, and I think we put in the most beautiful game we could.”

The 20-year-old was asked about return to fitness his after eventual second half substitution, to which he received a huge round of applause.

“I’m fine, I was a little tired and I asked for a substitution,” he said.

“I’m working every day and I hope to do even better in the future.”
