Paris Saint-Germain and Italy midfielder Marco Verratti has revealed his admiration for Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.
The former Pescara midfielder has developed into a vital player for both club and country in recent years and has admitted his obsession with the Spanish World Cup winner.
“There are many players that I look up to, a lot of playmakers,” Verratti began while speaking to Canal Plus. “But if I had to choose one, it would have to be [Andres] Iniesta.”
“I love the way he plays,” the 22-year-old continued.
“He can do everything; he scores and creates goals and he can battle with opponents, too.
“It is wonderful to see him in action; it is like magic.”
The Italian, who has been linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid, has played ten times for PSG this season, contributing two assists.
