pjanic Roma man cityMiralem Pjanic is determined to end 2015 on a high with his club side Roma.

The Bosnian international has been in fine form for the Giallorossi so far this season, scoring eight goals in 13 appearances for the side and Pjanic is keen to continue in the same vein of form.

“We are about to get into a vitally important run of matches,” Pjanic told Roma’s official website.

“We’re determined to go into the Christmas break as high in the table as possible and we want to end the year on a high.

“To do that we’ll need everyone to do their bit, so I hope we can get all our injured players back playing as soon as possible.

“We want to see out 2015 with a bang.”

Pjanic then spoke about his Bosnian teammate Edin Dzeko and what it is like having him at the club following his arrival in the summer.

“Well he had a great match in the derby and scored another vital goal for the national team on Friday,” Pjanic added.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have him as part of the group in Trigoria.

“We’re always happy when he’s available and he’s in great form right now so I hope he can score another important goal in the second leg of the play-off against Ireland!”

The former Lyon man went onto speak about Bosnia’s Euro play-off against Ireland, after his side drew the first leg 1-1 in Bosina.

“We managed the game well despite not being able to take the lead, which we would have deserved,” Pjanic declared.

“We created several occasions but unfortunately we weren’t able to take the majority of those.

“They got their noses in front against the run of play and I think we were the better team.

“We did well to react after conceding and get the equalizer.

“There’s not a massive difference between 0-0 and 1-1 really, we have to go to Ireland to try and score, so it doesn’t change much at all. We will do our best.

“Obviously the whole country is hoping we qualify and that’s why we’re so motivated.

“We will fight until the last second to get through and make everyone proud of us.

“We know there’s going to be a lot of pressure in Dublin.

“There’s sure to be a passionate crowd and a sold-out stadium, it’s going to be a really tough match.”

Pjanic finished by talking about the Paris terrorist attacks.

“It was incredibly painful,” Pjanic continued.

“The news started trickling through just after the match.

“It was a real shock, a tragedy.

“All I can do is offer my condolences to all the families affected by this horror and hope that nothing like this ever happens again, anywhere in the world.”
