Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has grown tired of rumours saying he is looking to sell the club, and has urged for them to stop.

The eccentric millionaire has owned the club for almost 18 months now, and has already experienced the highs and lows which come with running a football club, but he has insisted that he is not looking to sell his stake in the team.

“To sell a football team, or a television, there are always two people,” stated Ferrero to Pupia.tv.

“The one who sells, and the one who buys,” he continued.

“I haven’t yet seen the one who wants to buy, and I will not sell the club.

“Get it over with, the sale of Sampdoria and the attempts to destabilise Ferrero will not ever be completed.”

Ferrero earlier this month decided to fire former coach Walter Zenga and replace him with former player Vincenzo Montella, and he has joked about there whereabouts of Zenga from here on out.

“Zenga has preferred to go to Dubai. The sun is good there,” he said.

“It is to be envied.”
