Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri says he was pleased by the performances of some his fringe players in the Partenopei’s 5-0 win over FC Midtjylland in the Europa League.
The hosts dominated the game and were 3-0 up by half time with goals from Omar El Kaddouri and a double from Manolo Gabbiadini before Christian Maggio and Jose Callejon added to the scoreline in the second half.
”The boys played well and thus we are happy, even those who have played less (El Kaddouri and Strinic) responded in a good manner’,’ the Italian coach told Sky Sport after the game.
”I am happy for the first place in the group because it was the aim this evening to be in the top seeding for the knockout draw.”
Napoli’s win means that they keep their 100% record in their group and have guaranteed a place in the Round of 32.
