Inter player Ezequiel Schelotto.

The 26-year-old could not make any significant amount of impact at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, after arriving from Atalanta in 2010 for a fee in the region of €3.5 million.

According to the club’s official website, Schelotto is now a Sporting player, after terminating his contract with Inter earlier this year. He has signed a three and a half year contract, with an option to extend it for three more years and the Portuguese side have set a €45m buyout clause on the midfielder.

A midfielder by trade, Schelotto can play on the right and had earned a reputation for being a tireless runner, giving him the nickname of El Galgo, which means the Greyhound in Spanish.

He made only 12 appearances for Inter in a frustrating time at the Nerazzurri where he also had loan spells with Sassuolo, Parma and Chievo.
