Wojciech-SzczesnyRoma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny never believed he would move to the Giallorossi on loan and that his long-term dream is to continue to play for Arsenal

Szczesny signed for I Lupi on a one-year loan deal from the Gunners in the summer, after he was deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates following the signing of Petr Cech.

“If you had told me a year ago that I would go to Rome, I would have said it was impossible.” said the Pole to Sky Sports Italia.

“I could see myself at Arsenal for the rest of my life and I can not deny that is still my dream.”

Szczesny then went onto speak about why Arsenal is so special for him and what could happen in the future.

“Arsenal is my home,” Szczesny continued.

“I have a lot there and if given the chance I would decide to play for them.

“Here at Roma my teammates, fans and staff are fantastic though, so I try to give my best and in nine months we’ll see.

“Things change from week to week, it’s hard to predict what will happen in nine months.”
