Pato - AC MilanPremier League side Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on a move for former AC Milan player Alexandre Pato.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are currently searching for another striker after they failed to bring in Saido Berahino before the end of the previous transfer window, with Harry Kane currently being their only recognised attacker in the first team.

Reports from Calcionews24.com now suggest that the on-loan Sao Paolo forward could be heading to the Premier League very soon, as Spurs are willing to pay around €12m for his services.

The Brazilian signed for Milan back in 2007 and went on to becoming an important player for the Rossoneri, before suffering a number of injury setbacks which subsequently pushed him down the pecking order.

He was sold to Corinthians in January 2013 and has spent the last few seasons in his native Brazil trying to regain his form.

His parent club Corinthians and Spurs are reportedly already in negotiations regarding a possible transfer.
