Udinese midfielder Francesco Lodi has praised Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Zebrette lost to the Partenopei 1-0 on Sunday evening in Serie A with Argentine international Higuain getting yet another goal this season.
“We played the game like we wanted to from start to finish,” Lodi told Sky Sport Italia.
“But Napoli have some very strong players.
“We had a good game but unfortunately it wasn’t a good result because Napoli are a serious candidate to win the league title and Higuain turns everything he touches to gold.”
The 31-year-old then commented on the skill of Higuain, saying he is the best striker in the country.
“Higuain scored an impressive goal,” he said.
“He is the best striker in the Italian league at the moment.”
Udinese sit one point off the relegation zone in 17th in the league table following the loss, while Napoli are fourth.
