seydou-doumbia-romaWest Ham United are considering a move for Roma striker Seydou Doumbia in the January transfer window.

The Ivorian is currently on loan at CSKA Moscow who will not make the deal permanent while the Giallorossi do not want him back at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Doumbia does not want to join Shanghai Shenhua who the Lupi have an agreement with as he would prefer to move to the Premier League where West Ham are the frontrunners for his signature.

Roma signed the 27-year-old from CSKA Moscow in January for an initial fee of €14.4 million which they are hoping to recoup a large chunk of so that they may reinvest during the same transfer window in pursuit of the Scudetto.

Doumbia made just 13 appearances and scored two Serie A goals during his short spell in Serie A.
