Roma‘s Seydou Doumbia could be on the verge of a shock move to Premier League side West Ham United, but any deal will depend on the Hammers stumping up €20 million to secure his signature.

Goals appeared very hard to come by for the Ivory Coast forward during his time in the Italian capital as he scored just two goals for the Giallorossi before returning on loan to CSKA Moscow in August.

West Ham have made a great start to their Premier League season and have already recorded notable upsets by defeating the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, Hammers coach Slaven Bilic is keen to strengthen his side’s attack and may look to broker a deal for Doumbia as early as January but despite Doumbia’s poor spell at the Stadio Olimpico, Roma are still keen to get as much money as possible for the striker and have set a €20m price for the player.

Since his return to the Russian capital, the Ivory Coast forward has rediscovered his goalscoring form as he has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances so far this campaign.
