Atalanta v PalermoAtalanta host Palermo at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in Serie A this Sunday.

The hosts currently sit in ninth place, and are looking to regain some consistency during this campaign, as Edoardo Reja’s side have taken just five points in their last five league fixtures with a win, two draws and two defeats. The side Bergamo have had a mixed week as following a surprising 2-0 victory over Roma, they were then hammered in a 3-1 defeat to Udinese in the Coppa Italia.

Palermo have also struggled throughout the season and are also coming off a defeat in the Coppa Italia, falling 3-2 to Alessandria, as well as a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus last weekend. The Rosanero currently sit 16th in the Serie A table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

The two sides have clashed 18 times previously, and the two teams have equally the same record with both sides having six wins, six draws to their name.

Last season the two sides met twice, with a tough 3-3 draw in their first meeting before Atalanta won a five goal thriller 3-2 in the return fixture.
