Sevilla coach Unai Emery is delighted to have qualified for the Europa League after the 1-0 victory over Juventus.
The Spaniards claimed the three points thanks to a Fernando Llorente header against his old club despite the Bianconeri having several clear chances to get goals themselves.
“We are particularly happy because we beat a strong side like Juventus,” Emery told the reporters after the match.
“We were able to defend well and not concede despite Juve creating so many scoring chances.”
Sevilla came third in Group D meaning they will now play in the Europa League, a competition the Spanish side have won back to back over the last two years.
“We came third in a very difficult group and we are very happy,” Emery added.
“Now we’re going to play in a competition where we feel comfortable and where we are champions.”
