vidic-interAston Villa and Everton are reportedly looking to sign Inter outcast Nemanja Vidic on a free transfer.

The former Manchester United captain has struggled to make a huge impact since his move to Italy in 2014 and a return to the Premier League is now looking increasingly likely.

Talksport have confirmed that the duo of Everton and Aston Villa are weighing up their respective moves for Vidic, whose contract is set to be terminated by the Nerazzurri in January.

Coach Roberto Mancini is unconvinced that the 34-year-old can overcome his recent injury problems and is now willing to let the player leave after Christmas.

The Toffees had already enquired about the player’s availability last summer, whilst new Villians boss Remi Garde is keen to make swift defensive reinforcements within his struggling side, and views Vidic as a potential strong addition.
