Martin Caceres - JuventusJuventus defender Martin Caceres looks set to be staying in Turin until the end of the season following Turkish Lig side Fenerbahce’s reluctance to meet his wage demands.

Caceres’ contract expires at the end of the season and due to a lack of first-team football a contract renewal with The Old Lady is increasingly unlikely.

As a result, Turkish club Fenerbahce were ready to snap up the former Barcelona player on a free transfer at the end of the season, however according to Turkish newspaper Haber Turk, Caceres’s €3 million per season wage demands scuppered the deal.

It’s believed that Serie A giants AC Milan and Premier League club Liverpool are interested in the 28-year-old but whether they will move for Uruguayan international Caceres in January or in the summer is still unknown.
