The French defender signed on a one-year loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain and Beck believes Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini could convince the 22-year-old to make a permanent move to the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the season.

“I spoke with Sabatini before the match against Barcelona,” revealed Beck.

“Lucas wants to stay in Rome, but these talks are premature as they will have to be agreed between the clubs.

“He is definitely playing with a lot of joy and he loves Rome.”

Digne had previously worked with Roma boss Rudi Garcia during their time together at Ligue 1 side Lille before making the switch to the Parc Des Princes in 2013 during the same summer Garcia replaced Aurelio Andreazzoli at the Stadio Olimpico.
