AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says that someone at the club will have to be sacrificed in order to bring in midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The Rossoneri are set to re-sign the Ghanaian after his Schalke contract was officially terminated on Tuesday, but due to the size of Milan’s squad at the moment Galliani has said that someone will have to make way.

“In terms of the transfer market, we have 28 players and Boateng in our sights,” said the Italian.

“If Boateng comes then we will have 29, and someone must leave because there are so many,” he continued.

Galliani also spoke about his hopes for 2016, with the current year nearing a conclusion.

“We hope that the new year will bring continuity to us, and that bad form does not happen again in the future.”

Milan are currently eighth in the Serie A table.
