Andrea Ranocchia InterInter coach Roberto Mancini is set to sell former captain Andrea Ranocchia in January.

Despite making 39 appearances during 2014/15 the Italian defender not only lost the Nerazzurri captaincy to Mauro Icardi but also his place in the team during the current campaign as newboys Jeison Murillo and Miranda have blossomed into a very sturdy centre-back partnership.

As a result, Mancini will look to sell the 27-year-old to raise funds for new signings, essentially sacrificing the defender, and will look to receive around €12 million, as reported by Tuttosport.

There are expected to be a number of suitors for Ranocchia’s signature, who joined Inter in 2011 from Genoa, including Monaco, Sporting CP, Europa League holders Sevilla as well as Serie A rivals Roma and Napoli, with Ranocchia potentially key to a part-exchange deal involving winger Dries Mertens.
