Roberto Mancini InterInter coach Roberto Mancini strongly criticised the sending-off of full-back Yuto Nagatomo as his side fell to a 2-1 defeat to Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo in Serie A on Monday evening.

The 29-year-old Japanese international was booked by referee Daniele Orsato for a foul on Jose Callejon before receiving his second yellow card just before half-time for bringing down Allan, with Mancini particularly angry about the first decision.

“Nagatomo was sent off for a foul, the second one on Allan,” the 51-year-old told reporters after the game at Napoli.

“The Callejon foul was simulation, it was not a foul that deserved a yellow card.

“Nagatomo had to be careful after being booked but the first foul was not worth a booking.”

Mancini then spoke more about the game itself, claiming it was an enjoyable game.

“It was a great game which was very evenly balanced,” Mancini added.

“Napoli are the best team in Serie A, so it was always going to be difficult.

“[Gonzalo] Higuain and [Pepe] Reina made the difference today, they were both great.”
