Fredy Guarin InterJuventus are set to reignite their interest in Inter’s Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin.

With persistent injuries to Sami Khedira and other members of their side, the Bianconeri club hierarchy have now decided that they will aim to bolster their midfield during the January transfer window.

Corriere dello sport have confirmed that the 29-year-old has emerged as an immediate target for Juventus, who was previously close to a move to the Old Lady back in the winter of 2014.

The player is still under contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza up until June 2017, however after the Nerazzurri’s abundance of recent summer signings, Guarin’s chances in the starting line-up could now become increasingly limited.

This is demonstrated by the fact that he has started three of the past four domestic league matches on the substitutes bench, and he may now be looking for more regular playing time in Serie A.
