Lazio midfielder Senad Lulic is in danger of losing one of his fingers after a training ground accident.
The Bosnian international was participating in a weights session at the Biancocelesti’s training ground on Wednesday when the object he was lifting slipped and crushed two of his fingers.
Lulic has already apparently lost the top-most part of his ring finger due to the incident, and is to undergo emergency surgery after breaks were detected in the bone.
Lazio’s medical team will monitor the player’s situation carefully over the next 72 hours, and while they are optimistic about his recovery there is still the chance that an amputation may be necessary.
The playmaker has understandably been ruled out of Lazio’s upcoming fixture against Juventus, and there are suggestions that he will miss out on at least a month of action while he lets his stricken digits recover.
