Lazio midfielder Stefano Mauri is looking for the Biancocelesti to repeat their midweek Coppa Italia performance this Sunday against Inter.
Lazio snapped a four match winless streak to win at the Stadio Olimpico against Udinese in midweek, and now Italian midfielder Mauri is hoping that the side can use that result as a springboard to league success.
“We must play as we did on Thursday in the Coppa Italia,” he insisted to Inter Channel.
“It’s been a long time that we’ve won in the league, and at the Stadio Meazza it will be difficult as Inter are a great team and also first in the table,” he continued.
“We will give it our all. We want to bring Lazio back to a position in the table where they deserve.”
The Roman outfit are currently 14th in the league standings, but could jump up to 10th with a victory on Sunday night.
