Former AC Milan starlet Alexandre Pato is edging closer to a return to Europe, as Fiorentina and Liverpool are lining up for his signature.
After suffering multiple injuries and a dip in form, the Brazilian made his bittersweet return to his homeland to join Corinthians, and has seen gone on to impress on loan with Sao Paolo.
According to reports from Don Balon, Liverpool have shown great interest in the 26-year-old and are in advanced talks, while Fiorentina are eager to get in the way to establish a potential deal of their own.
Arsenal and Tottenham could also play into the mix for the Brazilian forward once the January transfer window opens.
Pato continues to show his versatility with the Tricolor, featuring as a left winger, centre midfielder, and primarily as centre forward where he’s made five assists and scored 10 goals across his 33 appearances.
